“History on the Harbor” Fundraising Event At Harry T’s Restaurant

On Sunday, August 22, 2010 during the Clean Coast Music & Art Fest at Harbor Walk Village, the Destin History and Fishing Museum held a “History on the Harbor “fundraising event at Harry T’s Restaurant. A Museum exhibit table featured pictures of early Destin, fishing, and information on the Museum. Raffle winners for Harry T’s Gift Certificates were: Cherie Honeycutt of Fort Walton Beach $50, Samantha Graves of Freeport $100, and Chris Bowen of Enterprise, AL $200. The restaurant supported the Museum with a donation from their day’s profits and proceeds from the raffle. Through the generosity and support of Dan Empson and Harry T’s Restaurant, the Destin History and Fishing Museum received $ 1,224.28 to support new exhibit production. The “History on the Harbor” fundraising event is part of a series planned to support the projects of the 501 C 3 organization.
