December
School Holiday - Free Admission For Children
The The Destin History and Fishing Museum wishes to extend our heartfelt holiday wishes and thanks for the community support in 2011. The holiday is a time for joining together with family and friends to celebrate the holiday spirit, and to create traditions which are looked forward to throughout the years. In the hustle and bustle of the season, take time out to create those memories.
During the month of December, children and students tour the Museum free during their holiday break from school December 17th to New Year’s Eve. Let the Museum be a part of your holiday tradition. Is reading a Christmas story to your child a part of your Christmas tradition? If not, start today, we have over 60 children’s Christmas books. Choose one, sit and relax here, read a story with your child and make a memory. Do you know the legend of the poinsettia? Why Christmas trees aren’t perfect? Do you have an elderly relative? Then you should know the story of a Christmas cup of tea? Visit the Museum, see and learn about Destin’s heritage, whether you are a descendant or Destin is your new home.
The museum is located at 108 Stahlman Avenue and open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Call 837-6611 for more information.
