The museum is home to multiple exhibits highlighting historical elements of Destin and the fishing industry that shaped it. Explore our newest exhibits below.
St. Andrews By the Sea Episcopal Church Stained Glass
Newest Exhibit! The museum recently became the proud owner of several historic items from the now-closed St. Andrews By the Sea Episcopal Church, including this remarkable five-foot stained glass window. A community campaign quickly raised the funds needed to repair and preserve the window, helping ensure that this beautiful piece of Destin’s history will be protected for generations to come.
Destin Fishing Hall of Fame
Founded in 2024 by Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden, the Destin Fishing Hall of Fame includes inductees who have made substantial contributions to our fishing community. This interactive exhibit includes a plaque to permanently commemorate inductees, as well as an interactive touchscreen with a biography and highlights of the captains' careers.
Front Exhibit Room Renovation
Thanks to a generous gift of from Impact 100 of Northwest Florida, as well as additional donations, the museum recently opened the renovated Front Exhibit Room. Check out artifacts and interactive exhibits from Destin's commercial fishing industry, ship building, ecology, and more. Kids can spend time playing Crabby's Ocean Quest, "fishing" in a soft play recreation of the Primrose, or exploring local shells.
